Why TV can't open them: TV only supports image files like JPG or PNG. It can’t open PDF files.
What to do: Use websites like ilovepdf.com to change PDF to JPG.
Or take a screenshot to save it as a photo.
Ask the sender to send it as a photo, not a PDF.
