Firefox 116.0 and later requires Windows 10, 11 to run.

For the eol Windows 7, 8, 8.1 you can use the older Firefox 115 ESR. It is currently at 115.21.0esr and will be updates til 115.27.0esr in August unless Mozilla extends updates a third time. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/firefox-users-windows-7-8-and-81-moving-extended-support

Firefox Setup 115.21.0esr.exe (32-bit) https://archive.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/releases/115.21.0esr/win32/en-US/ folder of other languages are at https://archive.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/releases/115.21.0esr/win32/

Please do go into the About Firefox dialog and make sure your Firefox is up-to-date, meaning Firefox 115.21.0esr, or at least 115.13.0esr.
