Thank you for the addons. I had never installed an addon for that button. It's a button of Firefox itself several years ago. It looks like the second addon but in grey color, just the same color of other Firefox buttons. Seems that Mozilla has abandoned it for a long time, but disabled it recently. That's why the second addon went up.

Could you share the value of one of your preferences: this lists your toolbar layout and if the problem button is still on the bar, it should show its internal name. Here's how:

(1) In a new tab, type or paste about:config in the address bar and press Enter/Return. Click the button accepting the risk.

More info on about:config: Configuration Editor for Firefox. Please do not edit this preference by hand.

(2) In the search box in the page, type or paste uiCustomization.state and pause while the list is filtered

(3) Select the bolded value on the right side (it's usually very long), copy, then paste into a reply.

After pasting, if you want to remove unnecessary information, you can remove the part before the first appearance of "nav-bar" and everything after "seen" (in both cases, do the Find with the " marks).

I have found out the real reason for this problem. This button does come from an addon, but not installed by myself. As a Chinese user, my Firefox is a "Chinese special version", with several addons automatically installed with it. One of them provides that button, and malfunctions in version 136.0. I am not talking about the "international version in Chinese language", but another version that will be editted by a branch office in China before provided to Chinese users. But we are not informed about that difference. So you are right, Firefox never has that button. For sure I couldn't find it in historical versions, because I was searching in the international ones. Sorry for wasting your time for such a stupid problem.

The site lists some of the additional functions like synchronization between devices, webpage screenshot and picture in picture, as is shown in image 1. I can't find a complete list. Apart from the addons, some Chinese users summarize that: (1)They put ads of online shopping malls in home page and bookmarks; (2)They offer Chinese Mozilla account and sync service independent from the international one; (3)They block some websites due to Chinese law. 我已经卸载了所有中国版内置的插件，并通过其他插件和浏览器参数设置重新实现了我自己常用的功能。其实解决方法这里都写出来了，你把他和我写的内容用翻译器翻译一遍就知道了。 “恢复关闭的标签页”功能去安装这个插件：https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/恢复关闭的标签页/ “标签页优化”插件在这里安装：mozilla.com.cn/moz-addon.html，你看“精选扩展”那一栏，第二个就是。 标签页优化的功能实际上火狐自己都有提供，你看自己需要哪个，去百度搜，你可以看到教你修改浏览器参数about:config的教程，不用装个插件。包括恢复关闭的标签页，你只要右键点击标签栏就能看到那个选项，不过有个按钮确实更方便。
