I recently bought a new laptop and am trying to sink my current mozilla browser with the new computer. However I can't seem to get an authentication code and don't know where/if I saved Mozilla backup codes. please help1

FYI. Sync isn't to be used for backup. It sync between active device to sync server to another device with the same sync login. It shouldn't need a code if the login is the same. To preserve your data/login/pswd you need to backup those data to import them to the new browser to insure they remain otherwise if the system that had the data gets wiped or removed from device all the sync data will not match and it could possible remove the sync data since it has no other device to sync back to the data.
