Will it work with MacOS 10.9.5 ?
Is your new update compatible with MacOS 10.9.5 ? If not -- why not?

Hi, there's no plans to support MacOS 10.9 anymore.
Why has Firefox ended support for MacOS 10.9 users? Although Apple does not have a public policy governing security updates for older MacOS releases, its practice is to support the most recent three releases. Apple made the last security update applicable to MacOS 10.9 more than 10 years ago. Unsupported operating systems do not receive security updates, have known exploits and can be dangerous to use, which makes it difficult to maintain Firefox on those versions.
So what you are telling me first is that I have to update my version of Firefox because you are basically crippling my current version.
Then you are telling me that your new-improved version is: "Unsupported operating systems do not receive security updates"
So why are you screwing around with my existing version to begin with? Have you ever heard the phraise 'Don't fix what ain't broken?' Seems rather thoughtless to me.

The old eol Firefox 78 ESR has not received any updates since Firefox 78.15.0esr was released back on October 5, 2021. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/firefox-mac-osx-users-esr
Firefox 79.0 to Firefox 115 ESR requires macOS 10.12, 10.13, 10.14 to run while Firefox 116.0 to current Release and Fx 128 ESR requires macOS 10.15 or later to run. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/firefox-users-macos-1012-1013-1014-moving-to-extended-support
Mozilla can not be expected to spend a lot of resources to support eol macOS and Windows versions and old Firefox versions forever as things has to give as things progress on. Though Mozilla tends to support eol OS's for over two years longer compared to when Chrome/Chromium based browsers dropped them.
