deal2coupon.com What the Hell is it?
Almost as soon as the most recent Firefox update, 109.0, happened, I began having this half tab showing up on the far left of my tabs bar for some site - https://deal2coupon.com/all-stores/ebay.com.
What the hell is this? Did it come with the update? I've searched all over the internet and all I find are all the top Google search returns are directed to that site as if they are a wonderful site and they will do their best to tell you that's true. Bah! Humbug! I even checked https://reports.adguard.com and all it says is it's not on any black list they monitor. (YET!)
How do I get rid of it? Who do I report it to?
Did you clear the cache/history to verify this wasn't some memory cache resident popup. Also Firefox by default doesn't do popup or ads beyond the requesting Browser to update.
Yes. I cleared the cache and cookies and bookmarks and history after backing them up. I even used an extension that was supposed to stop such unwanted auto loads. Nothing helped.
I finally gave up and reinstalled Firefox to get rid of it.
I can't believe nobody else has this problem.
Maybe it's the extension that is the cause here. Unless others can replicate the issue no one is going to know what is happening.
Has anyone even heard of this site? I did a Google search for "+deal2coupon reviews". There is NOTHING except posts by the deal2coupon website. Even Trustpilot.com has nothing on them.
You can do a malware scan just to be sure.
You can remove all data stored in Firefox for a specific domain via "Forget About This Site" in the right-click context menu of an history entry ("History -> Show All History" or "View -> Sidebar -> History").
Using "Forget About This Site" will remove all data stored in Firefox for this domain like history and cookies and passwords and exceptions and cache, so be cautious. If you have a password or other data for that domain that you do not want to lose, make sure to backup this data or make a note.
You can't recover from this 'forget' unless you have a backup of involved files.
If you revisit a 'forgotten' website, data for that website will be saved once again.
