Thunderbird Calendar (v102) Event Description Field Format Issues with Google Calendar

Hi, I have been having formatting issues editing event descriptions since updating to the latest Thunderbird version, currently using 102.2.2. My calendar is connected to google calendar.

If I edit event descriptions in calendar, then view it on my phone or on google, I see extra spaces and extra lines randomly in the text. I also see other formatting that corrupts the description field.

When I paste text, even plain text, into the description field, it saves the formatting but then the description field is corrupt. The corruption also happens when pasting html and even links.

I'm not sure if I can disable formatting for the description to use plain text.

For example, if I copy the following text from email into an event description field and save the event:

Open the internet with Firefox Confirm your account and get the most out of Firefox everywhere you sign in starting with:

=

This is the text that shows up in the event description field after I reopen the event, either to edit or not. I removed some spaces after "...internet with Firefox..."

=

Thanks for the help.
