Hi! I've searched this question but can't seem to find a "guide". I've been using Thunderbird on my PC/Laptop for at least a decade. I have a "Profile" folder but most of my mail is stored in a separate folder on my C: drive. It appears under "Local Folders" in Thunderbird. I don't know too much about Macs but just got a Macbook Pro. I've installed thunderbird and configured it to my email servers. I can get new email and now I'm at the point where I'd like to get the rest of my folders, address books, add-ons, etc. from my Laptop to my new Mac and it's a bit overwhelming. I wasn't able to export/import my address book, I've placed the .mab files in the new profile on the mac and they're not appearing and I can't help but to think that I'm missing a lot of other steps as well. I'd almost like to start over from scratch on the new Mac since my old install has been moved several times from pc to pc to laptop, etc. Any suggestions are most welcome! Thanks so much for your help in advance. PS I also had two accounts appearing on my Mac. . nyj****.net and nyj****.net (pop3). I'd like to continue using POP3. I was also able to have only 1 inbox on my PC (it was located under my "Local Folders") as well as 1 trash, etc. Can I have that again? Thanks again in advance :-)

I don't have time today to address all your questions, but I will offer a possible suggestion: Instead of doing what you have done, there is a simpler way to do this. Install version 102 on the MAC and then use the Import feature to import the profile from the PC. Also, move the files that are outside the profile to a drive on the MAC and, once Thunderbird starts in the imported profile, you can change the setting for Local Folders to point to wherever you moved the files.

Hey David! Thanks for getting back to me even though you're short on time. I've already installed the latest version of Tbird on my new Mac ~ Ver 102.1.2 (64 bit).

Definitely sounds like a simpler way to do this. Thanks for your help and I'll post updates when I get a chance to try this. Thanks again ;-)

Hey David ~ That was certainly a LOT easier than I was making it out to be by using your solution ~ thanks so much!
