Constant crashes even after Cleanup or Reinstallation

more options

Since a few days, I keep experiencing constant crashes with Firefox.

In the most common way, a Tab will crash first, often followed shortly by the whole browser crashing.

Crashes occur on, but are not limited to, following pages: • YouTube.comReddit.com • Google Account Login • about:preferences • about:crashes • about:support • The very same Support-page I’m writing this on

Crashes still occur after: • Rebooting Computer • Clearing of Cache • Starting in Safe Mode (crashes in Safe mode) • Deactivation of hardware acceleration • Refreshing Firefox • Reinstallation of Firefox (Uninstalled with the Uninstall/helper.exe) • Use of Windows Deployment Image Servicing and Management tool (DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth)

Crash logs list: • Crash Reason EXCEPTION_BREAKPOINT Crash Address 0x00007ff88082381f • Crash Reason EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION_READ Crash Address 0x000001f4465fffe8

I’m kind of out of options. Most support pages are 2 years or older, so I don’t really know if I’m experiencing the same errors as they did.

If there’s any more information required, please let me know.

MemTest Could you please run a tool from http://memtest.org/ in order to check the integrity of your RAM? You will need a thumb or disk drive to install it on. Do you let Windows handle the page file or did you set a fixed size ? Control Panel -> System -> Advanced -> Performance -> Settings If you use a fixed size for the page file then try the former and let Windows handle the page file. How to determine the appropriate page file size for 64-bit versions of Windows {web link}

I already made a Memtest earlier in this Troubleshoot, which results didn't show any irreularities with the RAM. Additionaly, Windows already automatically handles page size, but I changed it to specifically manage both SSDs (A main 2TB SSD and a secondary unused 500GB SSD). I called for more help.

Small but Important Update here.

In the last few days, I noticed that some other programs crash, froze or had a problem with a lack of RAM as reason.

Furthermore, I tried executing the Windows 10 Memory Diagnostic Tool but it could not be booted (Windows boot error: 0xc000225).

I'll try to get in contact with a IT expert to take a look at my computer, as this problem doesn't seem limited to Firefox now.

If the RAM problem gets fixed but the problem with Firefox still persists, I'll add to this thread again.
