my husband cleared all my history, now I can't get my bookmark library to show on the left side of my screen

Sorry to hear about this problem. To open the Bookmarks Sidebar, try Ctrl+B -- there's also an optional Sidebars button you can add to the toolbar. More info: Use the Firefox Sidebar to access bookmarks, history and synced tabs.
