Mozilla, a company whose literal goal is to keep the internet free for public use, ironically makes it virtually impossible to contact them

There is literally not a more appropriate place to post this in a 2 hour online search quest to find such a place. So, to sum it up, Mozilla does not include a, "Contact" link on most of their public facing pages. Only a select few have them. Mozilla offers absolutely no way to provide feedback from what I couldn't find. Any page with the feedback box "Did this help" thumbs up and thumbs down literally results in nothing except the box disappearing when I click thumbs down. Mozilla's emails to their email list recipients have no second form of contact information on them beyond a mysterious unnamed physical address (which is illegal btw and lololol, I am disgusted about this for a company that is supposedly all about legal transparency online). Then, Mozilla's "Contact page" (https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/contact/) contains a completely broken map that shows literally nothing but appears to be intended to show geographical regions to contact. They link to a Facebook page without a contact option. There is an extremely limited support menu that looks like it was developed by a teenage web developer and which offers NO link to a Mozilla foundation support option. The dinky little "Get Help" link at the very bottom is the only thing that could even remotely be related to getting general Mozilla foundation help/offering feedback. Clicking on that routes to the help forum homepage which has zero options for Mozilla Foundation or Mozilla pages reporting broken features and etc. The Mozilla Github seems to only be tailored towards the various Mozilla coding projects but seems to be completely absent of actual Mozilla applications such as Firefox. Doing an extremely thorough Google search for the email address of Mozilla or any of its public facing representatives resulted me with absolutely zero results. Mozilla doesn't even openly provide a mailing address to the public on its website from what I could find (this is scary to think about in a scenario where I would need to mail legal documents to Mozilla). Mozilla has no publicly listed phone number anywhere on Google. I could not even find any leaked email addresses to anyone whatsoever within the Mozilla foundation, almost as if they actively scrub them from search results. This seeming lack of connection with Mozilla's actual users is quite concerning to me. Lol, if I were writing one of Mozilla's privacy review articles on Mozilla themselves, I would give a warning sign due to a designed communication-killing wall between them and their end users.

Please reroute this concern to the correct area. I know it is not posted in the right place but Mozilla literally left me with no option on a more appropriate place to leave it.

Could you perhaps go into more detail about where to submit feedback once I create a Crowdicity account? On what page is the "share and idea" link on?

After you are signed in, at the upper right, there is a blue "Share An Idea" button. It's part of the fixed header, so it should appear on every page, but it's definitely in the header on the home page.

As an example, here's one I posted: https://mozilla.crowdicity.com/post/733830

Search on the site is pretty lousy.

The people who answer questions here, for the most part, are other users volunteering their time (like me), not Mozilla employees or Firefox developers. If you want to leave feedback for Firefox developers, you can go to the Firefox Help menu and select Submit Feedback... or use this link. Your feedback gets collected by a team of people who read it and gather data about the most common issues.

You can also file a bug report or feature request. See File a bug report or feature request for Mozilla products for details.

Thank you for reporting this to the proper channels. I understand that this area is mostly volunteers in the Mozilla community but, like I said, I could not find anywhere else to make this point.

Once again, Mozilla's convoluted system seems to be failing me with your links. Your, "Submit Feedback" link leads to a page where it appears that I must login to that page's system to do so, seeing as how I see no option to submit a new feedback there and clicking further into page links always leads to a login screen before I can access any sort of feedback page. As is customary of Mozilla, the page you linked is very vague and has little to no description at all so orientation there or even figuring out the purpose of the page is near impossible. When I attempt to login, it lets me choose three options: organization, social media, or, "Corwdicity Account". I am not an organization. Attempting to use my personal Mozilla account credentials there does not work. I refuse to use my social media accounts to log into anything and I find it sickening/rofl metaphorically peeing myself that Mozilla, the biggest online privacy advocate that is constantly calling out major social media platforms for privacy overreach, would even offer this option, let alone make it a literal condition of me being able to submit Mozilla feedback. The third option is to login with my Corwdicity account. I have never even heard of Crowdicity, I obviously have no reason to register for a Corwdicity account if I have not even heard of them, and, again, shame on Mozilla for requiring login access via a completely unrelated outside company's login credentials. Oh, also, the login screen is so vague that I literally have no idea what I would even be logging into. Do people really give their outside credentials out like this to login to something where the other side of said login is a complete mystery? Again, Mozilla's contradictions of its basic values, principles, and literal reason for existence is makes my head want to explode with confusion.

Your other link provided to the filing of a bug report is more of the same that I have done here: an inappropriate place to file my observations/complaints and a circular indirect way to continue to not have my issues and observations actually addressed.

Hey there!

I understand your frustration. But could you please state your exact issue without unnecessary details so it's easier for others to read and understand what you're trying to convey?

Thanks in advance!

Bithiah

Hi

Crowdicity is the platform that we use for feedback. Once you have registered, select "Share an idea" in the top right corner, and select a challenge area that best fits the feedback you wish to supply.

If you wish to file a bug or a feature request, you can do so directly at https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/

In both cases, registering allows you to see the progress of your feedback and engage with staff as necessary with further information.

Bithiah, I am confused by your comment since I have been as detailed as possible in this post. If something I said confused you, then please point out the confusion instead of leaving vague unhelpful responses.

Seburo, thank you for clarifying. Like I have come to expect from Mozilla, there seems to be zero public explanation about the requirement of a Crowdicity account for feedback, what a Crowdicity account is, who Crowdicity is, or what their privacy practices are like. Getting real tired of saying shame on Mozilla for poor transparency. I am at the point where I may just pull my monthly donations to Mozilla. Over the last couple of days, I have really learned a lot about Mozilla's transparency garbage chute that is their own website.

Could you perhaps go into more detail about where to submit feedback once I create a Crowdicity account? On what page is the "share and idea" link on?
