"Forced" FireFox Updates

more options

Managing thousands of FIreFox Instances on Windows 10 systems across our enterprise. Need "Polices, Settings" to apply to firefox (GPO, Intune) to "force" updates for all Firefox Versions to latest version and maintain latest version for instances as they are released. Currently, Firefox, Prompts end users if they want to update which is normaly dismissed and the instance remains outdated. In addition, Windows UAC prompts for elevation, which some users do not have rights or the user chooses to not allow. Either case Firefox does not update and remains outdated and vulnerable.

Chrome and Edge browsers all support regular "Forced" update cycles (weekly). Looking for similar service\polices for Firefox to ensure all systems are always running the latest Versions.

Thank you for the quick response, This is a step in the right direction. Its a shame this only applies to v90 and above. At least there is now a starting point.

In my initial testing though, The end user has to launch FireFox for this "Forced" update setting to be applied. I'll let my test system sit and see if the Task Scheduler ever get created on it own. Time will tell

Here is a link explaining the Task Schedule creation process https://www.ghacks.net/2021/04/28/mozilla-is-working-on-firefox-background-updates-on-windows/
