I cannot fully understand what your problem is. Would you please describe your question more exactly?

After downloading Firefox Installer it hangs up half way thru. A small screen about 1/3 blue saying"Optimizing your settings for speed, privacy, and safety". Stays like this for about 10 seconds then disappears. I've been using Firefox forever.

Any Ideas?

Sometimes Internet connection problem or a previous improper installation will occur this problem.

You might try to download Offline Intaller

Before install a new package, you should wipe all previous Firefox installation and restart your computer
