Auto fill the 'find in page' (cmd + f) field with selected text in the page
Hello,
Please tell me if there is a way (shortcut or extention) to auto fill the 'find in page' field with a shortcut because it´s very boring to have to copy/paste the selected text that i want to search the other occurences in the same page :(
Thanks in advance.

Hmm, I'm on Windows, but selecting text and pressing Ctrl+f does autofill the selection for me, so I would think Command+f would do that for you. Hmm...
Could you check this:
(1) In a new tab, type or paste about:config in the address bar and press Enter/Return. Click the button accepting the risk.
(2) In the search box in the page, type or paste prefill and pause while the list is filtered
(3) If the accessibility.typeaheadfind.prefillwithselection preference has a value of false, double-click it to flip the value to true
Was that it?

Ok that was it ! Thank you :) I forgot to tell you that i was on Firefox MacOS.. Do you know if 'false' is the default value for Mac ? Because i don't remember changing this variable to false...
I don't know whether the default is false on the Mac. I vaguely recall that Mac has another common shortcut for Find in Page and that one might work differently.
