I am beginning to hate Firefox

more options

Due to a failure in another machine, I have had to use an older laptop I had not used for over a year. It had an older version of FF with TabMixPlus and other addons which I had come to rely on an treasure. Now, perhaps because I clicked on the wrong dektop icon, all that has gone. All sessions, all OneTab entries, and of course multi-row tabs, plus all the other TMP features such as a "Protect Tab" (NOT "pin tab") which now seems to be history. The continued refusal of Firefox to implement multi-row tabs is completely baffling. Perhaps they are all adherents of some religion that has a strong view on such decadence - it is almost the only possible explanation. There seems to be a tendency to vastly reduce the number of options present to a user, as if the attitude was a patronising "we know what's best for you - don't worry, all will be ok". Yes, yes, yes, I know that multi-row tabs can be had, for a price, and that price is an afternoon tweaking numerous machines in weird places and wondering is MrOtherGuy's work really is the best (or the worst - who knows?) implementation. No chance of a nice extension or feature to do all this, of course.

The whole thing is very dismaying. Life with FF used to be fun - it is now an endless hassle. Unless, of course, you forsake all and follow their way of doing things and confess that you were wrong all along, and that no sane person would ever want multi-row tabs.
