Been using Firefox on Android 7 for years without issue, but the latest update to 80.1.2 is hijacking Google searches. What do I mean? If I type 'http://www.google.com' into the URL bar and press ENTER, Firefox is adding a 'fspf' parameter to the URL to get their money from Google as if I'd performed a search directly from the URL bar. Forcing the user to participate in some pay for play arrangement that they explicitly do not want to participate in seems unethical to me. How can I prevent Mozilla from commandeering my Google searches to monetize them on my device? Thanks in advance for any potential solutions. Not interested in hearing why I shouldn't care, or why I should allow it.
