Downloading Files immediately cancel, have to click on retry before they will download. very annoying having to verify every single file I want to save.

problem started after recent update, Tried rolling back, didn't help. have tried disabling and re-enabling add-ons, and anti-virus. nothing worked.

Computer has been reset 3 times Almost bricked my firefox profile trying to get any version of firefox to work. Not willing to risk my computer or profile to attempt to fix this. please patch in next update.

Could be a problem with some Malwarebytes component.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) or if hardware acceleration or userChrome.css is causing the problem.

  • switch to the DEFAULT theme: "3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Themes
  • do NOT click the "Refresh Firefox" button on the Safe Mode start window

Boot the computer in Windows Safe Mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen or hold down the Shift key) to see if that has effect.

Downloads worked again in safe mode. Downloads worked with all add-ons disabled Downloads worked again with the dark theme enabled Downloads worked again with Ad block Plus enabled Downloads failed with Malwarebytes browser guard enabled

why is firefox allowing an add-on to disable user generated inputs? No I'm not going to keep my anti-virus disabled. as it takes care of everything ad-block and firefox's built in protections miss. and this is the first time this problem has ever occured with it.

Firefox 80.0 updated Aug 25 Malwarebytes browser guard 2.2.10 updated Aug 25 Looks like you are both at fault for this problem happening.

You would have to contact Malwarebytes if you have a problem or a question about their extension as it is their responsibility to ensure proper working.
