Pop up blocker not working
Pop up blocker doesn't work, nor does anything appear in the toolbar for any sites when they do pop up, which I thought was supposed to happen. Can someone please help me? This is so incredibly annoying and I don't know why, when it is set properly in 'preferences', it doesn't work.

Are you using just the Firefox blocking, or an add-on? Firefox can't block everything.
Go to the Mozilla Add-ons Web Page {web Link} (There’s a lot of good stuff here) and search for a good ad blocker.
I am using the pop up blocking preference in the options sections of Firefox. I have great ad blockers, blocking all ads but I am still getting pop ups.
So, your solution is that there is no solution, am I right?
What add-ons are you using, and what is in the pop-ups?
Is this with all websites/pages, some, a few?
Thank you for trying to help me. I am using Ad-block plus and UBlock. Nothing else. I am a political analyst so I read almost every political site/newspaper known to man, and all the rags so I know what people are saying. So, for example, I cannot stop the pop-ups on TheHill.com and People.com. They aren't ads, they are site-videos related to the article I am surveying at the time.
If there isn't anything I can do, I appreciate your help. I just really wanted to know that there is nothing else that I can do. That people are always trying to get around blocking mechanisms and we just have to always play catch-up.
