Lost passwords after updating Firefox

I downloaded the recommended update by Firefox for our browser. Apparently, I inadvertently did not carry the passwords over in the application or something. I am so upset with myself because I no longer have any passwords. I chose Firefox many years ago for the convenience of having our many passwords securely and readily available. Now I have nothing! All our financial and medical accounts have passwords and I can no longer get them. PLEASE HELP

I still am unable to get my Firefox profile password. I don't remember and I cant sign on. I am using Firefox as my search engine but I cannot update nor organize my bookmarks because I don't have my password for the Firefox account. I'm almost ready to give Firefox the boot!!! PLEASE HELP

  please follow the instruction step by step to get password 
  * Open the Firefox web browser.
   * Load about:support.
   * Click on the "open folder" link near the top of the page that opens; this opens the profile folder.
   * Close Firefox.
   * Check if you see a file called logins.json.corrupt.
   * If you do, rename the file to logins.json to fix it.
  * Start Firefox. The passwords should be available again.

Thank you so much! I'm now trying to organize my bookmarks and I am able to do this. What do I need to do in order to make changes. I have been getting prompts to log in to Firefox. I don't even know what my Firefox sign-in is? How do I find it? How can I edit (delete or add) websites to my pages?

Dear Sir, I have this problem that I lost my pass word but I do not find "logins.json.corrupt" file in this followed directory. There are some files name as "update-config.json" and "updatee.xml" . Please let me know how to fix it. Thank you. Dong99

I have read the 'solutions' to the update and lost passwords question but they cannot fix my problem. I updated to 76 on my table top PC and lost ability to get email on only one of my two accounts but it is the important one. However I can still access THAT account on my laptop which has not been updated. On my laptop I can find the 'password' I have used for a long time BUT it doesn't work back on my table top PC. (the one I am now on trying to fix) Why doesn't the old password on my laptop work on my table top PC? Can THAT be fixed and how can you explain it to a ludite? Thanks (hopefully) Kevin
