I can get Firefox working for you - even if it means deleting your passwords and bookmarks - those are User added, also.
Refresh Firefox.
Add your extensions again.
See if the problem is resolved.
if not, I can take you to the next level of diagnostics.

No i don't. my extensions were working fine until the update and this is not the first time firefox has been broken by an update so don't pretend that the problem is with the extensions. And you can consider yourself reported. I'm not going to tolerate people who have nothing to better to do than give people grief.

I'm not being disrespectful or rude by trying to keep people like RobertJ from getting in the way of people who are ACTUALLY trying to figure out and solve this problem. I see people like RobertJ everywhere who don't want to do the work but still want to get the recognition for "helping" and this is not the place for that. I already gave him an opportunity to join the discussion and warned him in advance that his attention seeking would not be tolerated and quite frankly was far more polite about it than i could have been (honestly I've about reached the end of my patients with people like him) so please don't jump to his defense.

First off it was a firefox update that caused the issue and most likely other users are having the same problem. I just posted first.

Second off people like you whos first and only solution to problems is to nuke it away are not helpful and if you post one more thing here that isn't genuinely helpful to the people having this problem i will report you. If you know specifically whats causing the problem or have a good idea as to what it is. Great. Feel free to share what you know. If you just want to be heard and have nothing to add to figuring this out then don't post.

The Refresh feature (called "Reset" in older Firefox versions) can fix many issues by restoring Firefox to its factory default state while saving your bookmarks, history, passwords, cookies, and other essential information.

Note: When you use this feature, you will lose any extensions, toolbar customizations, and some preferences. See the Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings article for more information.

To Refresh Firefox:

Open the Troubleshooting Information page using one of these methods:

Click the menu button , click help and select Troubleshooting Information. A new tab containing your troubleshooting information should open.

If you're unable to access the Help menu, type about:support in your address bar to bring up the Troubleshooting Information page.

At the top right corner of the page, you should see a button that says "Refresh Firefox" ("Reset Firefox" in older Firefox versions). Click on it.

Firefox will close. After the refresh process is completed, Firefox will show a window with the information that is imported.

Click Finish and Firefox will reopen.

Did this fix the problem? Please report back to us!

Thank you.
