How do I make the touch gestures (e.g pinch zoom) on FireFox as smooth as the one on Google Chrome?

On Google Chrome, when using the touch pad zoom or the touchscreen zoom, it does not change the "zoom controls", making it feel like using the application on a phone. However with Firefox, it is not smooth at all, and changes in "percentage" of zoom (whereas Chrome does not do this). Is there a particular add-on or configuration to fix this?

Where I mean "percentage of zoom", where zooming in Firefox, in the search bar, a small indicator displaying the amount of zoom is shown. Chrome has two different zoom functions, one being the percentage-wise zoom, and another being zooming that feels like a phone.
