Firefox renders some HTML metatdata on some pages, whch obsucres the content. For example, at https://www.dailymail.co.uk/debate/article-7668911/DAN-HODGES-Jere
I think the question explains. See teh attached clip from a newspaper web site.

The 'loading' messages disappear when I disable tracking protection on that page (click the shield icon), so I assume the you get this because involved JavaScript doesn't succeed to load content, so you are left with the loading message. This is one of those cases where content blocking is causing issues and you need to disable it.

Hello JMW,
The exact same thing happened when I visited that page. So I checked the web console and there was an error message that I went to check out - to no avail.
Went back to the page and lo and behold : everything was back to normal ! Checked the web console again and : no error messages.
The only think I did was toggle AdBlockPlus (Daily Mail wants you to disable your adblocker), but I doubt if that's what caused it though.
Maybe you could try again and see if everything's back to normal ?
Sorry, I don't understand 'web console'. Can you please explain a bit more?
Also, for me, this has been happening for weeks, not a new problem; I'm just getting fed up with it. It's never gone away.

You can open the web console by pressing Ctrl + Shift + K and see if there are any error messages. If so : you could take a screenshot or copy and paste them here.

I was hoping that it would be just a glitch ..... :(
Maybe the web console will shed some light on it.
The web console shows 2 Errors and many Warnings. I didn't try to include the Warnings in the attached screenshot. I don't understand the error report, and it doesn't seem to suggest a solution. I guess the pages that show this effect are not well-written.
Thank you for that screenshot.
I will ask someone else to take a look at your thread, as this is way
above my head .....
Thank you. It's certainly way above mine.

Thank you very much. It works. I'll leave Tracking Protection on unless the error interferes too much with reading.
