Why won’t the Firefox browser save my login credentials in macOS Catalina 10.15.1?

I recently purchased a MacBook and installed the Firefox browser. I set the program to be my default browser but I’ve noticed that whenever I close Firefox out and reopen it later, I have to re-enter my login credentials. Is there Something that I’m missing in the whole process? It’s become redundant and annoying to have to login every time I want to use the browser and access my bookmarks.

Any help and direction would be appreciated.
