Why does Firefox take about 25-seconds to start?

Try Menu > Help > Restart With Add-ons Disabled and see if it starts faster. If it does, then one or more Extensions may be slowing things down. This could be normal with the slower start with one or more Extensions.

Would you, as a test, disable that Shield Study extension :

"ETP Search Volume Study 1.2 "

Does that make a difference  ?

I would be glad to if you could tell me how. It isn't in extensions or plug-ins in the add-ons section.

What do you see when you type in the address bar :

"about:studies" (without the quotation marks) and press Enter ?

Maybe that's the hangup. ETP Search Extension messing things up and not showing up in Add-ons, but yet it's there?

I found it & removed it as that was the only option I saw. Firefox takes about 15-seconds to start now as compared to 25-seconds before.
