Tried to import bookmarks from Safari and all I got were the folders, no bookmarks
I went thru the process detailed in one of the help posts. All that arrived in the Library were the folders i have for each category, none of the bookmarks themselves.

Did you use the export/import method described in this thread: https://support.mozilla.org/questions/1144426
If so, please open that HTML file in a Firefox tab (as a web page) and see whether the bookmarks are in there so we can tell whether it's a "Safari not exporting correctly" or "Firefox not importing correctly" problem.
