Hi, what usually happens is that you are already infected and when a update or install happens it sets it loose.

As for that AVG pic you have up it is badly worded are you sure it is AVG's ? connection on because really is bad English.

As Mozilla is not a Virus or Malware company : Please scan with : https://www.malwarebytes.com/ If need help :

Uninstall any Bittorrent apps, uninstall cracked programs and delete cracks then Post in only 1 forum, then wait.

Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.

None of these comments /answers are helping me. So I went back and looked again at what AVG keeps on showing me and realised that by shoowing the details it plainly shows where thsi came from. This is a brand new laptop I've only had it for two weeks now. Mu first port of call was for virus protection for which I also have norton on here. So I am well protected but want to know how to remove it without my having to download pile of software that Ireally do not want. But at the end of the day it came from mozilla and it is up to them to remove it. I doubt I am the only person with this problem, I expect there are thusands of people with it. Mozillz have never made it easy to contact them they have a phone numbe on line, they just do not answer it. If you people have something sensible to say, then i shall read your answers. But I am not going to download and start installing various malware bytes type programs on my new laptop.

Hi, if you have Norton and AVG you can not run two anti-virus programs at the same time. They conflict with each other. You can run Malwarebytes which is deemed appropriate as it is not a anti-virus program.

As for Telephone numbers there are only select cities that have numbers where a headquarters are.

There is no telephone support, there is no logging into someones computer, this is it and it is done by Volunteers that are users just like you.

If you would care for help then please download Malwarebytes as you were asked and do a scan. If you need help use the link I provided as Mozilla is not a virus/anti-malware company so let the pros help. If you still wish help then you have to follow directions so we can help you help yourself.

You can try these free programs to scan for malware, which work with your existing antivirus software:

Microsoft Security Essentials is a good permanent antivirus for Windows 7/Vista if you don't already have one. Windows 8/10 have antivirus protection built-in.

Further information can be found in the Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware article.
