In my firefox top sites, I have discovered an unknown email account (not mine) that I can open. How could this happen? I do not know this person.

I expanded my "top sites" on firefox to two rows. I saw one site I did not recognize. It is the email account of a person I do not know, have never met, does not live in my town - total stranger. When I clicked on the icon, it took me directly into this person's email account. I can see everything (I did not open any of the emails), but I can access everything on this person's email account. I searched my saved passwords on firefox, and I found that this account's username and password was saved on my laptop about three months ago. I did not save it. I never even had this person's username or password. No one else can access my laptop. How could this happen?

I suggest just removing that from your system. Has anyone else used your computer? Are you using sync? Has anything odd happened on your system?

Separate Security Issue: Update your Flash Player or remove it using these links; http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/uninstall-flash-player-windows.html Uninstall Flash Player | Windows http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/uninstall-flash-player-mac-os.html Uninstall Flash Player | Mac

Note: Windows users should download the ActiveX for Internet Explorer. and the plugin for Plugin-based browsers (like Firefox).

Note: Windows 8 and Windows 10 have built-in flash players and Adobe will cause a conflict. Install the plugin only. Not the ActiveX.

Flash Player Version: Version 30.0.0.113

Update: I can see in my history that I did visit this person's facebook account on the day the username and password were saved in my saved passwords. I am an admin for a FB closed group, and I constantly have to check out member requests by looking at the potential members' profiles and timelines to rule out fake FB accounts, etc. But, I cannot see how that would allow me to get the person's email password, sign into their email account, and choose to save the password.

No one else has access to my laptop. I was trying to sync some of my accounts to share a calendar I use. It could have been around that time.

What I am most concerned about is that if a person's email account and password was exposed to me through some FB, firefox, or syncing glitch, how safe are any of our email accounts?

@FFuserquestions, then you should contact that user and tell them for some unknown reason your getting information that you didn't request and that they check on their permission list to find out why they keep getting their info.
