Crash Reason EXCEPTION_IN_PAGE_ERROR_READ / STATUS_DEVICE_DATA_ERROR

Hi is there a reason you have not installed Win 7 Service Pack 2 and 3 ? OS Version 6.1.7601 Service Pack 1

You do not say what version of Firefox you are running. Current version is 59.0.2 if not there yet please update as that may fix the issue :

or you can download a full installer from here and install over top :

Also set your options up to with letting websites use their own fonts Please Copy/Paste about:preferences to the Address Bar then Enter Go down to Language and Appearance and Click Advanced and make sure there is a Check in the Box for Allow Pages to use their own fonts.....

Please always :

Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.

Hi, please do not quote everything, it takes a lot of room and can go to pages if continue. Quote only what needs to be please.

By the sounds of it you have not tried anything to fix the issue yet. Nor answered why shows Service Pack 1 only, when you should be running all updates for Win 7. So that needs to be fixed.

Have not answered what version you are running as we still do not know.

You have not stated you updated nor did a install over top.

Not have you stated that you did the fonts fix or if that box was unchecked or not.

So at this time it is impossible to help you unless you follow the directions out lined, respond to the instructions by telling us you tried those things.

So the shortcut working or not working means nothing at the moment. Please follow previous directions given and respond accordingly to them after testing so we know what is going on. Thanks.

Or just do this : The Refresh feature (called "Reset" in older Firefox versions) can fix many issues by restoring Firefox to its factory default state while saving your bookmarks, history, passwords, cookies, and other essential information.

Note: When you use this feature, you will lose any extensions, toolbar customizations, and some preferences. See the Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings article for more information.

To Refresh Firefox:

  1. Open the Troubleshooting Information page using one of these methods:
    • Click the menu button New Fx Menu, click help Help-29 and select Troubleshooting Information. A new tab containing your troubleshooting information should open.
    • If you're unable to access the Help menu, type about:support in your address bar to bring up the Troubleshooting Information page.
  2. At the top right corner of the page, you should see a button that says "Refresh Firefox" ("Reset Firefox" in older Firefox versions). Click on it.
  3. Firefox will close. After the refresh process is completed, Firefox will show a window with the information that is imported.
  4. Click Finish and Firefox will reopen.

Did this fix the problem? Please report back to us!

Thank you.

i think you dont understand, i cannot open my Firefox. im not able to type anything in its adressbar, or open any Settings menu.

About the System Pack: Even tho you have others installed Windows will still only list System pack 1. so theres not really a way to check if the others are installed. Also my Windows Updater is running so i should be supposed to have everything up to date installed.

I cant check what Firefox Version i have since i cant open it...but i reinstalled it yesterday so i should have the newest Version.

Again, i cant check the font Thing, because i cannot open Firefox.

Correct, my mistake on SP3 Please grab a copy of your Profile for safe keeping and possible recovery.

Please then uninstall Firefox. Then Delete the Mozilla Firefox Folders in C:\Program Files , C:\Program Files(x86) & C:\ProgramData Then restart system. Then run Windows Disk Cleanup. (Note: This should be Pinned and run Weekly, If never done below expect 10's of gig's) Then run it again and click the button that says Cleanup System Files. Note: your Firefox Profile is saved. Reinstall with Current Release Firefox 59.0.2 with a Full Version Installer

Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.

Alright, so: after reinstalling Firefox and doing everything you told me, it gaved me a error saying it couldnt load my Profile. what i then did i giving it a new Profile (by emptying my Folder (i made a copy) ), and then Firefox loaded all files in theat Folder, and THEN it booted! what i then tryd was putting my old Profile back in, aaand for some reason that works now. so for right now my Firefox works again.
