Hi Everyone,

Not sure if I should be asking about Yahoo problems on here, so apologies if I shouldn't.

I am running the latest 59.0.1 Quantum and have Adblocker Ultimate running too. (Win7 Ult. 64bit SP1)

Over the past two or three days, when I call up the Yahoo UK News page, the display shows multiple entries for (mainly) HufPost Articles. (See attached)

Is anyone else experiencing this, or can someone suggest how I might go about getting things back to normal, where only 1 entry is displayed?

Thank you,

Ian

Thanks for all your help.

My pleasure, Ian - should the problem return, you could try to contact them here :

Which is the link I should have given you in the first place - my apologies  ! As I gave you the wrong link : would you be a dear an remove the Chosen Solution mark from my penultimate post  ?

Have a lovely weekend  !

Did you ask Yahoo of UK as well? Could be they are sourcing the news as well. I doubt this is a FF or Browser but the site doing that. Remember all Browser displays what the site gives them not the other way around.

WestEnd,

No I haven't asked Yahoo UK as they do not provide support facilities for their Users, which is why I came here to ask the Community "if anyone else was experiencing the same", and to exchange experiences.

I see a similar problem in Firefox (private window) and Google Chrome (incognito window, additional ad among the 3 stories), so I suspect it's the site.

This maybe an old thread, but still relevant :

Seperate issue :

Your system details show that you need to update your Adobe Flash Player - you're running an old version, which can cause problems.

Would you please uninstall your current version and install the latest version, which is 29.0.0.113

Hi jscher2000, thanks for letting me know.

Nice to know it's not something I've created/done by accident.

Lets hope they (site) get it sorted out soon.

Hi Happy112,

Thanks for pointing that out.

I've uninstalled it but, for the time being at least, I shall not add the latest version.

Looking at the news site pic you posted there is nothing wrong with it. It is getting stuff from The Guardian, Sky News. It could be that Yahoo.uk is using that in a deal with it self, Oath.com / Verizon / AOL = https://www.oath.com/our-brands/ Huffington Post is owned by AOL which is owned by Verizon which is owned by Oath

So you are getting what you get. There are no problems with the site or with Firefox.

Hi Pkshadow. I am amazed you would think anyone would post a problem pictorially when in fact there was no problem. If you look at the image again you will see (bottom of page) the HufPost articles repeating themselves. To make the situation clearer I have attached a further image to highlight the situation.

As this is indeed a PITT (last 'T' stands for 'toosh'), maybe you could try to contact Yahoo here :

https://io.help.yahoo.com/contact/index?page=home&locale=en_US&y=PROD_ANSW

Unfortunately there's nothing we (Firefox) can do about it (sorry .....)

Hi Happy112, Thanks for the link, which I tried but, although having drop-down links to virtually every Yahoo product -- they do not provide one covering News. However, as of this morning (Saturday 24th March) it appears things might be returning to normal, so I shall close this question. Thanks for all your help. Ian
