You can middle-click an item in the drop-down list to open the page in a new tab just like you can with other links.

Thank You, but this is most usefull when the buttons are there - not like the new appearing "when necessary" Forward.

If you clicked Back and the page you went back to automatically went forward to something different, the old forward history is gone. You will need to check regular history in that case. But that should be rare; most sites do not do that.

Thank You. Perhaps this is some rare case from the new design of the first site. When I return like this I usually press to open the interesting link in new tab exactly to avoid loosing Forward. I cannot reproduse it right now but will try to watch carefully next time. Some sites behave more and more odd recently. :-/

Hi.

I wrote here AFTER I missed it when it should be. I went to a new page but glimpsed a news title that let me press "Back". And, of course, after that I moved the mouse pointer to press "Forward" - and it was not there! (Yesterday it was!??) so I had to write down the needed address for a second time.

BTW, I "stopped" on version 47 because 51 managed to clear my last sessions and some other information. So please - just turn back 47 the way it was when it was the newest one.
Thanks in advance.

No idea.

Instead of showing a Forward button that doesn't do anything when you click it because it's greyed out , the Forward button is hidden until you have a page to travel forward to.

When you need it (when there is page to go forward to) - doesn't it
show ?

Is there a special reason why you are running a very old Firefox version ?
