Is there any way to disable the swipe gestures???

more options

This is really really really annoying. I can be typing a post in a text field in any website, and suddenly, I find myself back at the last page because my laptop trackpad (I do not have a touchscreen) gets fat-palmed while trying to type and lose my place.

This is not a duplicate of https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1003526 because I'm not on a Mac.

Some helpful info: Firefox version: 55.0.2 OS: Ubuntu 16.04 x86_64

Some steps I have tried: going to "about:config" and acknowledging that I understand entering in null text (clearing all the strings to a blank value) in each of the "browser.swipe.*" settings Restarting Firefox Rebooting

And it still happens! It is really annoying that I'm about to go back to Google Chrome. At least they don't have this idiotic issue like Firefox does.

And Google itself is not turning up any results. I'm surprised that nobody has asked this before here.

Just how in the /sbin/e2fsck do I disable this useless feature? If I wanted to go back, I'd use ALT-LEFT ARROW instead, just like it was in Firefox way back when.

The mousepad on my computer sent so many 'bad' signals that I disabled it.

That's my ultimate decision but I don't have a USB mouse to do so...

I just switched to Chrome/Chromium. Firefox used to be good... now it's complete garbage. Even a simple download fails. All. The. Time.
