Why won't 360° videos on Facebook play on Firefox latest browser?
I recently got an error message on all 360° Facebook videos. They used to play fine and this has been happening for about 1 week now. See attachement. Thanks.

Typically that type of link would lead to a support page that would explain what the issue is with the browser that is being used. Sometimes it's fixable, while other times it isn't something that can be fixed by the user.
I don't use Facebook at all, by my guess is that Facebook discriminates against certain browsers or they're too lazy to have that feature available for all browsers; or maybe their programmers are incompetent and can't figure out how to make that feature available for Firefox users.
But it was working fine for about 6 months prior to this error message coming up. ???
The link only provides answers on how to upload a 360° video to facebook.
Please if still having the issue backup your profile https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profiles-where-firefox-stores-user-data
Update Firefox https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/update-firefox-latest-version
Update Video Drivers https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/upgrade-graphics-drivers-use-hardware-acceleration Try with no Hardware Acceleration also.
If above does not fix issue please continue but make sure have backed up profile and have bookmarked the page. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-extensions-themes-to-fix-problems?redirectlocale=en-US&redirectslug=Troubleshooting+extensions+and+themes
Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.
I wanted to give this a bump and present current state.
The issue remains the same however Facebook presents this another way now, as seen in the image. FB states the 360 video is not available on this device. The device is not the issue as they state. I get this message on 2 entirely different devices.
Windows 8.1, Firefox 55.0.3.
Android 8.0.0, Firefox 55.0.2
Clicking the link that Facebook provides, as stated by the original poster, only goes to a page that tells people how to upload a 360 video.
What this looks like to me is that Facebook has stopped supporting Firefox for their 360 videos. The image provided is the message seen all across Facebook where there are 360 videos when viewing Facebook through Firefox.
On Linux it works for me in Firefox 57 (Developer Edition) and in the current Firefox 57 Nightly builds, but not in Firefox 55 and 56.
I'm not sure whether this works on Mac in current releases. Check "Help -> Troubleshooting Information" for messages about WebGL.

I don't know before but NOW, on Firefox 57, i'm having this problem. Testing the same video link on another browser (Edge) it worked. So it's a Firefox issue.
