So If I am on a forum and want to open a new page in the same window, how do I do that? It seems when I click on the next page of a forum it opens it up in a new tab.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

For links opened via JavaScript you can look at this pref:

You can open the about:config page via the location/address bar. You can accept the warning and click "I'll be careful" to continue.

Okay so if I am in a forum while in Firefox and want to click on the "next page" it opens it in a new tab and not the same window.

You would have to check the code that is evaluated when you click this button.

You can right-click and select "Inspect Element" to open the Inspector ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Web Developer) with this element selected.

Can you post a link to a publicly accessible page (i.e. no authentication or signing on required)?
