I have added the following add-ons to my browser toolbar, but when I close and re-open Firefox they are removed from there and I have to go into the "Customize" menu to out them back. If I put them in the "More" menu, they don't disappear.

I have other add-ons that do not disappear. How can I make the ones listed below stay in the browser toolbar?

The add-ons are: Pocket, 1Password and Share This Page.

Thanks

Do you see any error messages in the Browser Console about these extensions in case there is a problem?

You can check for problems with preferences (browser.uiCustomization.state).

Delete possible user.js and numbered prefs-##.js files and rename/remove the prefs.js file to reset all prefs to the default value including prefs set via user.js and prefs that are no longer supported in current Firefox releases.

Thanks Cor-el. It appeared to work for a little while, but when I opened up my browser this morning, the problem had returned. This time, Pocket has remained in the toolbar, but 1Password and Share This Page are still disappearing. I am not seeing any error messages - they just quietly disappear from my toolbar. It's only when I go to use them that I notice them gone.

Also, where do I find browser.uiCustomization.state?

browser.uiCustomization.state is a pref this is listed on the about:config page. You can open the about:config page via the location/address bar. You can accept the warning and click "I'll be careful" to continue.

I experience this problem with the icons for VideoDownloadHelper and LastPass. It had been happening for some time with VDH and recently started happening with LastPass.
