I have indirect solution, program named CheVolume. In that way this can be done - for these who have same needs like me.

I don't think that it is possible to select/change what sound device is used to play sound on a tab. It might be possible if you would use multiple profiles and launch a second (or third) Firefox instance with a different profile. I think that Firefox will use the default sound device that it detects on startup. You can start Firefox with a different profile by using the -no-remote command line switch on the command line (target field) in the Firefox desktop shortcut.

See:

You can add -no-remote to the command line to open another Firefox instance with its own profile and run multiple Firefox instances simultaneously.

Note that you can't open external links in a Firefox instance started with "-no-remote", so if you need to do that then make sure to start the default profile folder without "-no-remote". You can drag an external link to empty space on the tab bar to open a new tab with this link.

Hmm.. First sorry form my english.

Ok, this isn't work that way. when i change default sound device on another then firefox automaticaly play sound on that device. So it doesn't play that detect on startup.

I have windows 7 and connect a cable hdmi to TV and speakers on jack to PC. I search all night and only if program have function to can choose from what device play sound it possible that what i need. I have set default device to TV and if i run winamp in options i can choose speakers and have simultaneously other sound on thesse two devices :)

SO can i do that in mozilla?

i don't need sound from other device to one tab (it's more complicated), but i wanna play sound from mozilla only to speakers only, and rest have on TV.

So sorry you must read this. :)

and thanks for help.

Firefox won't use peripheral devices that are plugged in while Firefox is running. Firefox detects those peripheral devices upon startup or a restart event that the user can manually trigger (either thru the Developer console or a restart button provided by an add-on).

And Firefox can't separate one Tab from other Tabs or even different Windows. The only way to get to happen is via a separate Firefox executable process running with its own unique Profile, as cor-el mentioned already. Basically another browser running parallel or at the same time as the main Firefox process. And it is far easier to just use IE or Chrome for that other audio output, than to mess around with multiple Firefox Profiles.

yes i alredy say that is too complicated and is no need to do that. I wanna choose to play sound from one device only to mozilla only. CAN I do that? is there a way to do that?

i'll try to do that but no matter when i plug in device. Sound from mozilla it allways play that default choose.

It isn't work like detect device on startup. It play sound on actually default device. (windows 7...)
