Does the web address change during this? What is your homepage?
Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web Link} by holding down the <Shift>
(Mac=Options) key, and then starting Firefox.
A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh).
Is the problem still there?
When I see ghost screen in 2 sec. it is completly covered with my opening screen . Will recheck tried safe mode. Thanks for help.
Still holding search function up for maybe 5 min. This is one of the address it takes me to olnewsday.com/the-dress-code-of-the-rich/?utm_source=asp&utm_medium=traffic&utm_content=stop6&stop=6. How do I get rid of it. Can't drop the screen into trash

Does it has effect if you set another browser as the default browser in case you have currently set Firefox as the default browser?
You can try to create a new profile to test if your current profile is causing the problem.
See "Creating a profile":
- http://kb.mozillazine.org/Standard_diagnostic_-_Firefox#Profile_issues
If the new profile works then you can transfer files from a previously used profile to the new profile, but be cautious not to copy corrupted files to avoid carrying over problems.
