I got to the last page of installation on the page where I was supposed to enter my email & password, but the page froze & I can't get back to it.

In order to send this message to you, I had to enter my email address & password, so does that mean my problem as listed in my question is solved?

Hi Middle, my guess is that you were filling in the form to create a Firefox account, which is an optional account you need for certain services. This article has more information: Access Mozilla Services with a Firefox Account. That server, like other web servers, sometimes gets overloaded or goes offline; hopefully the problem was temporary.

This support site actually uses a completely separate account, so if you did want to create a Firefox account, you can go through either of these:

(1) Set up the Sync service. See: How do I set up Sync on my computer?

(2) Create an account on the Firefox accounts website here: https://accounts.firefox.com/signup
