I have just updated my laptop to win10. And, since then, i can't watch video in some sites, like diydrones.com or kissanime.com. On diydrones, it gives me a black screen for all videos and on kissanime, the videos keep loading, like forever. But, everything is fine when i use the same ethernet on my desktop. Maybe i miss something necessary? Please help.

Hi   !
Very annoying when that happens   !
Would you take a look at this article and see if you can find the solution there:

Possibly your Flash plugin is not activating automatically because it is behind on updates.

If you are using the extended support release of Flash 18, make sure you have the latest version. Adobe says it is going to remove the download page in a couple days: https://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/distribution3.html

With the "Ask to Activate" setting, when you visit a site that wants to use Flash, you should see a notification icon in the address bar and usually (but not always) one of the following: a link in a black rectangle in the page or an infobar sliding down between the toolbar area and the page.

The plugin notification icon in the address bar typically looks like a small, dark gray Lego block. When the page wants to use a blocked plugin, the icon turns red to alert you to the concern.

If you see a good reason to use Flash, and the site looks trustworthy, you can go ahead and click the notification icon in the address bar to allow Flash. You can trust the site for the time being or permanently.

But some pages use Flash only for tracking or playing ads, so if you don't see an immediate need for Flash, feel free to ignore the notification! It will just sit there in case you want to use it later.

Thanks but when on kissanime.com, i don't see anything like that. The site uses a html5 player i believe.

Kissanime gives me a choice of players (see attached screenshot), but it might depend on which link you click.

Could you check that you have blue boxes across this page:

https://www.youtube.com/html5

If you are using a private window, is there a shield icon at the left end of the address bar? That would indicate Firefox's Tracking Protection has blocked some content in the page. This article has more information on that feature: What happened to Tracking Protection?.

to jscher2000: I checked everything you mention but it's the same on my desktop and works fine. None of the two players on kissanime work for me. It just keep loading. I just found out that this happens on every browser I use on my laptop. Maybe I need to download some media packs?

To Happy112: Thanks for your suggestions. I updated my graphic driver but sadly, still the same :(

Maybe I need to download some media packs?

If you have a version of Windows where Microsoft was forced to unbundle media features (N and KN versions), then you do need a media pack. This article has a link to the latest one after the Windows 10 "Anniversary" update if you haven't installed it already: Fix video and audio problems on Firefox for Windows N editions.

To jscher2000: I downloaded and installed the media pack but the problem isn't solved. Should I go back with win7 because everything start when I updated to win10

Did you shut down and restart Windows after the update?

Is this the only problem you're having on Windows 10? I know videos are important, but it's potentially a lot of work and possibly lost data switching your OS again, and I think most Firefox users can show HTML5 videos on Windows 10, so it shouldn't be necessary.

Do you have a comprehensive security suite on your laptop that might be blocking anything?

Ok, I have just reinstall win10 and the problem is gone now. But, I am still curious about the cause of the problem:)). Anyway, thank you all for helping me. Hope I don't need to ask you for help again :D. Thanks again
