Why does mail.com need to be part of your download package?

We do not like the format of mail.com on your Firefox. It was best left alone. I have downloaded and uninstalled the Firefox program several times and mail.com is still there. If you cannot provide a "pure" download of this program I will no longer use it.

Sorry that you are having issues with Firefox.

Please be advised that Firefox does not come with the add-on that you are listing by default. It sounds like you may have downloaded an unofficial copy of Firefox. Please uninstall the existing Firefox and install the copy on the Mozilla website.

If the issue continues after reinstalling Firefox, please try removing any add-ons installed on Firefox.

Please let us know if this fixes the issue or if you require further assistance.

Note: Do not install Firefox from third party or unofficial services because they may pose a security risk.

By the way, when you say mail.com is still there, where do you mean by "there"? Is it showing up on a toolbar, taking over as your home page, etc.?

When you uninstall/reinstall Firefox, normally your settings are preserved. We could help you track down the setting, but need more information on the location of the problem.

I found that by going to OPTIONS+APPLICATIONS I could delete "mail.com" and then GENERAL and selecting "Mozilla Firefox start page" from the drop-down in the HOME PAGE box that everything went back to normal.
