Firefox Crash in versions prior to 48.02 version

Hi I´m having a strange problem with Firefox. I was using Firefox 42.0 pt-br because i was using some extensions that only work in the version 42.0 Sudenly, one day, i try to run my Firefox, and Firefox crash repeatedly. I tried to reset Firefox, open firefox in safe mode, delete my profile and create a new, uninstall and rinstall again the version 42,I tried everything. The strange is that the only version that works on my Pc is the version 48.02. None of the arlier versions works, such 47, 46,45,44,43,42 versions. I´m using a Windows 8 Pro X64 Pt-Br. Whats happening ? Why the other versions dont work, only the version 48.02 works fine ? Does anyone could help me please?

hi saintchelo, we have seen quite a number of similar reports about this issue in the last hours and this issue is likely caused by your symantec security software that is hooking into firefox (probably through a program/signature update done by them).

it is always strongly recommended to stay with the latest version of firefox just for security reasons alone: https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/security/known-vulnerabilities/firefox/

in order to resolve the issues with older versions, you'd need to get in contact with symantec's support and see if they will provide an update to fix the crashing issue...
