What are these odd folders doing in my IMAP account?
I look at my UK2 mail with IMAP. When I set up IMAP, several additional folders appeared. They're named . and /, and / has an unnamed subfolder. These folders are not at the UK2 website, and UK2 personnel tell me that they have never heard of this before. They are sure that the problem is with Thunderbird. After I had used IMAP with UK2 for a while, two more folders, named .. and ..., showed up. See the attached jpg. None of these is in the list of folders to which I can subscribe or unsubscribe. (I see that somebody has had a similar problem with IMAP and GMX. I also have a GMX account, and IMAP doesn't generate odd folders for it.)
This is no more than an annoyance--I think--but I would like to see only legitimate folders.

ask UK2 what the correct IMAP server directory is. What is the personal name space? Default " "
I will ask.
