For instance when I try to open my LastPass password managing software, it says it cannot find the file. I also now have an "Old Firefox Data" file on my desktop. Is it possible to restore Firefox ?

Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings

If you're having problems with Firefox, refreshing it can help. The refresh feature fixes many issues by restoring Firefox to its default state while saving your essential information like bookmarks, passwords, and open tabs.

Look on your desktop. Do you see a folder called; Old Firefox?

You can transfer lost files from the "Old Firefox Data" folder on the desktop to the current profile folder.

The information and links you provided helped me find and rebuild the Firefox profile. I then created a fresh alias in the tool bar for LastPass and was able to open it from Firefox. Discovered also that LastPass was installed in Safari and Chrome as well and could be launched from these browsers.

However, some misfunctions remain, especially when using Firestone - Last Pass does not autolog properly on certains sites, or bypasses the Master password for instance when i log into the vault - Maybe the problem now is due to LastPass ? Not sure.

Thanks for your help.
