I can hear a restored window but i cant access it
When i restore my window, some dont restore propperly in that i cant see them in the task bar or tab switch to them, but i know they are there as one of them has a video playing an i can hear it.
Note if i type in the search bar and the switch to option comes up i can use that to find my window, but all the other missing ones stay hidden until i find the correct phrase for the switch to option to appear.

Is it possible the video is in a tab of a displayed window?
no it is the only tab on that page
Try to use Alt+1 to Alt+8 to go to one of the first eight tabs to see if you can access the tab that way. The about:newtab page also has been reported to be able to play sounds, so you can check if there are pages in tiles that possibly might play.
I may have phrased it badly, but its not the tab thats missing, but the whole page. Alt anything didnt bring it up. I have since recovered that page through the switch to tab option from the search bar but i have another page hidden that i cant bring up. (i could use the switch to tab to bring it up but im leaving it hidden to see if there is a better way to find it, for future refrence)
Note that for switch to tab to work you need to remeber the title of the page so if you cant then this wont find the hidden page.
If you can reach this tab via switch to tab then it must be a real tab that is hidden and you would have more than one tab.
You can toggle dom.disable_window_open_feature.* prefs to true on the about:config page to prevent websites from disabling new window features and possibly hide toolbars.
You can open the Browser Console (Firefox menu button or Tools > Web Developer). Toggle devtools.chrome.enabled to true on the about:config page to enable the command line in the Browser Console.
Use the search bar to locate devtools.chrome.enabled
You can open the about:config page via the location/address bar. You can accept the warning and click "I'll be careful" to continue.
Paste the JavaScript code in the command line and press the Enter key to evaluate the code.
var wm = Cc["@mozilla.org/appshell/window-mediator;1"].getService(Ci.nsIWindowMediator); var gB = wm.getMostRecentWindow("navigator:browser").gBrowser; var url = gB.selectedBrowser.contentDocument.location.href; var l = gB.mPanelContainer.childNodes.length,i,t=[]; for(var i=0;i<l;i++){t.push(gB.getBrowserAtIndex(i).contentDocument.location.href);} var dataURI = "data:text/html;charset=utf-8,<html><body>"+t.join("<br>\n")+"</body></html>"; var tab = gB.addTab(dataURI); gB.selectedTab = tab;
I restarted firefox again and it appears that the windows i had minimized are the ones that are hidden.
