A plugin is from another program on the computer. The only way to remove it is to remove its program. You could disable it from the Add-ons Manager.
Sorry to be thick. Where do I find Add-ons manager?
Hi, the Add-ons Manager can be found in the 3-bar menu (looks like a piece of jigsaw), or Ctrl+Shift+A.
As FredMcD said, if you want to remove it, rather that disable it, you will need to look for it in your PC's programs.
If your question is resolved by this or another answer, please take a minute to let us know. Thank you.
Thank you both for your help. John

You can find the installation path of all plugins on the about:plugins page.
You can open "about" pages via the location/address bar.
- "about" is a protocol to access special built-in pages
