In the old days, Firefox had "Quit" on the menu. However, when Google updated Android, it declared that apps should instead be closed using the task list (i.e., swiping the app sideways off the list).
There is an add-on if you want to add Quit back to your menu: https://addons.mozilla.org/android/addon/quitnow/
