I just got Firefox for my Window's Vista, I figured out how to update Flash and Java for it, Youtube works but it lags, IE is better, and I can't play any Hulu videos, it just gives me a blank flash window. How do I fix it so I don't have to keep switching back and forth between IE and Firefox for my videos? I already tried the Refresh Firefox trick so I don't know what I'm doing wrong.

okay hulu now works, but youtube still has a lag no matter what resolution I use, full screen or otherwise, is there anything I can do in the youtube space to make it faster?

I did that, everything is updated

It seems that 2 different versions of the Flash plugin are installed at the same time. The older version didn't get properly removed.

So try uninstalling all versions of Flash from the Windows Control Panel, then install the latest version again. Close Firefox before you start.

If uninstalling from Control Panel doesn't work, you might need the Flash Player Uninstaller.

Right-click on any Youtube video to bring up the player's context menu. Does it say "About the HTML5 player" or "Adobe Flash"?

If Youtube is using the HTML5 player, you can force it to use the Flash player by installing this Firefox extension.
