OS: Windows 7pro Sp1 64bit History: About 3 updates ago Firefox started to randomly hang when I entered text, such as text in Gmail or in search engine windows. Or while filling out this help request. I tried unsuccessfully all the suggested remedies. I then uninstalled Firefox, and deleted any remaining references to Firefox and Mozilla in the registry. Finally I downloaded and did a fresh reinstall of the latest version. I used Febe to restore Bookmarks and Passwords. The problem continues. Details: Leaving Firefox by clicking on any icon on the taskbar or clicking on the desktop and then returning to Firefox restores the ability to enter text. Until the next hang. Amount of text I can enter between hangs seems random. It can be a few words or several paragraphs. When Firefox hangs the cursor stops blinking and the program becomes unresponsive to any input. Plea: Is there a solution or do I have to give up on my favorite browser and switch to Chrome or (gulp)IE? Thanks in advance for any help!

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web Link} by holding down the <Shift>
(Mac Options)
key, and then starting Firefox. Is the problem still there?
