Immediately after installing the update to 37.0 on my older Windows Vista machine Dashlane 3.2.4 ceased to work in the browser. Still opens and works outside of the browser. My windows 7 machine took the update to 37.0 just fine with no problems with Dashlane. (using windows7 machine now)

I have disabled/uninstalled the extension then enabled/reinstalled all to no avail.

This seems to be a recurring problem with Firefox; is there any cure. Can't work without my passwords!

(as long as I'm here: why does Firefox keep blocking the use of Flash? What a pain in the rump ... )

hello, please refer to dashlane's documentation on the subject as they describe how to uüdate to a compatible version of their addon: http://support.dashlane.com/hc/en-us/articles/202699011-How-to-check-your-Dashlane-extension-in-Firefox#title6

please also update your flash plugin - firefox will only block old versions of flash that contain critical vulnerabilities that are already exploited for your protection so that they won't get executed by default if you just visit any random page: https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/plugincheck/

Phillipp, I already did the recommendations put out by Dashlane (I think I said that I reinstalled the extension) and that didn't help. The problem is with Firefox not Dashlane. ( ;-) yes, I know that is totally impossible) All my versions of everything are up-to-date (even Flash). If I can't find a fix I will need to somehow roll back to 36.1, if possible, and wait for a debugged update.

Any other ideas?

even if you think it's a firefox issue, that's not the case. it's the sole responsibility of third-party addon developers keeping their extension that hooks into firefox compatible with new versions of the browser - the compatilbe firefox versions will be specified in an addon's manifest file and mozilla cannot alter the codebase of third-party developers.

if you cannot get the dashlane addon to update like described in their documentation about the subject, then please contact their support through http://support.dashlane.com about the issue.

Okay ... maybe somebody else has an idea for me for now?

As a side note: Firefox reads my version of Flash as being 16.0.0.296 which it is not: currently installed is version 17.0.0.134. Ergo: Firefox keeps shutting down Flash ...

There are some serious issues with the new update

True shadyz :

The programming doo-doo from 14 year-olds just gets deeper. I can't even delete the cache now but it's definately not the fault of somebody that rushed an update through ... you just hear: "they did it... they did it!" ... despite the fact that the problem occurs when you update the offending program. it just sorta like 'neener, neener"

I've got a whole new mess to cure now. crud

Well, for now, I have to go back to Chrome ... why? ... because I need to use my browser and Chrome works and Firefox just flippin' don't work.

I've had this problem with Dashlane on Firefox since at least Firefox version 37. Contacted Dashlane, but everything they suggested didn't work to fix the problem. I run 2 machines, a laptop in the UK & a Desktop in Spain, both on Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit.
