This morning my Firefox automatically upgraded to 36.0.1 and since then it's been crashing ever 2-3 seconds. I uninstalled and did a fresh install and I also disabled all of my add-ons, but this did not help. I even created a brand new empty profile and it immediately crashed. I have not been able to get a crash while in safe mode. (In fact, I had to open Firefox in safe mode in order to complete this form.) This is very frustrating and I've run out of ideas. The troubleshooting information should be attached.

被選擇的解決方法

yes, thanks. those appear to be triggered by your nvidia graphics driver.

please try updating your graphics driver (the latest version for your system should be at http://www.geforce.com/drivers/result.../81879), or in case this doesn't solve the issue, disable hardware acceleration in the firefox menu ≡ > options > advanced > general (that setting will take a restart of the browser to take effect).

hi mcramer, could you provide your latest few submitted crash reports? while in safemode, please enter about:crashes into the location bar, copy the latest few report ids from there starting with bp- & paste them here into a forum reply. this will give us a better understanding what may be triggering those crashes.

Thank you, Philipp! You are a genius. And that was unbelievably fast. I would never have figured that out on my own. How you figured that out, and what on earth this had to do with the update to 36.0.1, probably isn't important to explain, but I appreciate the help.

I can see everything fine with V. 35/ none with V. 36.0.1 Synaptics says I am updated. Acceleration is disabled. Flash has increasingly become a real invasive pain in the rear, wasting vast amounts of time I could have been productive or doing something I enjoy doing. I hope for alternative players soon, and better log in solutions. Thanks a million for the input and help!!!
