I am running Firefox 36 in Windows 7 and I can make bookmarks in the bookmark toolbar but cannot right-click to edit them. I need to use the menu and click on Bookmarks | Show all Boomarks and then find the bookmark toolbar and then edit the bookmark. There has to be a way to right click on a bookmark in the toolbar and edit properties.

Any suggestions?

hello, can you try to replicate this behaviour when you launch firefox in safe mode once? if not, maybe an addon is interfering here...

Doesn't anything happen when you right-click a bookmark on the Bookmarks Toolbar?

You can try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.

  • Tools > Options > Advanced > General > Browsing: "Use hardware acceleration when available"

You need to close and restart Firefox after toggling this setting.

Note that your System Details List shows multiple Flash plugins.

  • Shockwave Flash 14.0 r0
  • Shockwave Flash 16.0 r0

You can find the installation path of all plugins on the about:plugins page.

You can check the Flash player installation folder for multiple Flash player plugins and remove older version(s) of the plugin (NPSWF32) and possibly (re)install the latest Flash player.
